I was kind of pissed about that... after all, why does Movie Maker need desktop composition? Other than that, it runs like a champ using an XDDM driver. What is "desktop composition"? I suppose though, regardless of desktop composition - my underlying problem remains the same - I seem unable to capture this window on Vista32 or It does have nothing to do with desktop composition. You can test it yourself with the Side-Bar Gadgets, to see the effect in isolation from desktop composition.
